Creating standout and driving change

With over 20,000 employees operating across the UK public and regulated sector, our brief from Amey was to develop an authentic and compelling EVP to resonate with talent across all levels of the business from more conventional jobs to highly specialist and hard-to-reach roles.

Working closely with Amey’s Brand, HR, Recruitment and Communications teams, we developed an EVP strategy focussed around the core thought: Grow with Amey.

Based upon a comprehensive insight, research and strategy phase, Grow with Amey was selected following a number of workshops developed to stretch test the authenticity of each with a diverse range of participants from a defined stakeholder and audience map.

Utilising feedback from the workshops we implemented a phase of refinement and finalisation to create a detailed EVP Strategy Framework and associated implementation and activation roadmap focussed upon the ‘bridge to creative’ from strategy to visual execution.

Grow with Amey has provided the focal point to deliver a cross-section of creative outputs from social media assets and content to literature, advertising and the development of relevant sections across the Group website and intranet. Since implementation the EVP has been embraced across the Group and resulted in more focussed and higher calibre recruitment and increased success within a number of specialist and hard-to-reach roles.

In addition to the immediacy of recruitment needs, it has also been integrated across the business as the 'thread' to link the spectrum of people management activities from recruitment and on-boarding to talent management, training and retention.
