<p><strong>Position</strong><br />
Junior designer.</p>
<p><strong>Experience</strong><br />
One to two years experience within a relevant agency environment.</p>
<p><strong>Overview</strong><br />
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated designer to play an integral role within our busy design studio. The ideal candidate needs to posses a combination of problem solving intelligence and creativity to help deliver intelligent design solutions to solve our clients brand communication challenges.</p>
<p><strong>Opportunity</strong><br />
Working under a Design Director the opportunity for project ownership and responsibility will be based upon meritocracy with a successful candidate soon taking full responsibility of their own work whilst still fully supported by colleagues and under the guidance of the Design Director and Creative Director.</p>
<p>The work will range from employee engagement (e.g. internal staff campaigns and literature) to exhibition branding, corporate reporting and corporate/marketing literature. Clients vary from predominantly large FTSE corporates and AIM quoted businesses to smaller independent companies. <p><strong>The candidate</strong>|<br />
We are looking for an easy going, intelligent and highly creative designer to fit into an ambitious studio of 14 people across both design and project management. We are driven by helping clients to solve their communication challenges and engage with their target audiences by producing highly effective brand communication that is creatively very strong yet is underpinned by a well considered thought process. Any candidate needs to share this approach and motivation and possess one to two years experience working on  a similar range of client projects.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be  a self motivated, inquisitive and enthusiastic individual with a friendly and calm demeanor who can work well as a team but also relishes the opportunity to work alone and take-on project responsibility.</p>
<p>They will need to have good communication and people skills and have a passion for the design and communication process and the delivery of excellent work for corporate clients.</p>
<p><strong>Core skills that will be required include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>InDesign;
<ul>
<li>Photoshop;
<ul>
<li>Illustrator; and
<ul>
<li>a basic understanding of core Microsoft packages (Word, PPT, Excel)</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Ideal &#8216;extras&#8217;</strong><br />
The digital side of our business has been growing considerably and ideally we would also want the candidate to posses a good understanding of the aesthetics and userbility issues and trends in web design to be able to implement design solutions across both print and digital environments.</p>
<p>We would not expect the candidate to be able to write code or programming languages but an enthusiasm in the overall digital arena would be great as we find so many client projects requiring delivery across both print and digital medium.</p>
<p><strong>Basic requirements of the job would include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>attending both internal and, in time, client briefings;</li>
<li>understanding and applying client guidelines in the delivery of project briefs and related ‘tools’ such as image library resources;</li>
<li>undertaking relevant research and thinking to respond to project briefs inline with the project schedule provided by the project manager;
<ul>
<li>taking projects from concept though to design development, art working and delivery to print or web development handover stages;
<ul>
<li>supporting colleagues across all areas of projects as required from image searching, art direction, briefing of photographers/illustrators etc.; and
<ul>
<li>good time management, both in terms of daily attendance but also in the management of multiple project schedules;</li>

<p><strong>Reporting</strong><br />
The role would report to a Design Director and in-turn Creative Director.</p>
<p><strong>Terms:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Full-time role with a three month probationary term.
<ul>
<li>Holiday of 23 days per annum with one additional day of holiday every two years to a maximum of 25 days per annum.
<ul>
<li>Eligibility for the Cycle to Work scheme.</li>
