Rolls-Royce plc

Rolls-Royce is a global business providing integrated power systems for use on land, at sea and in the air.

We have been lucky enough to work with the brand and communications team for over 10 years across a range of internal and external communication projects.

Rolls-Royce is known around the world as a company that operates with integrity and we have spent the past few months working with them on the design and production of their Global Code of Business Ethics programme.

The Code was produced in 16 languages for all 38,900 staff and key stakeholders and is at the heart of the way Rolls-Royce do business and deliver their values of integrity, reliability and innovation.

Global Code of Business Ethics

Rolls-Royce have always set high ethical standards to live up to and act accordingly to laws and regulations within the countries in which they operate.

The Global Code of Business Ethics communicate the principles Rolls-Royce plc must abide by to preserve and enhance its reputation.

Our brief for the project was to create an engaging look and feel for all communication pieces but to be mindful of the need to communicate with a diverse and international audience.

After investigating a number of different creative routes, an iconographic approach was adopted. We developed a range of male and female icons to work not only in isolation but also grouped together to build more complex illustrations to represent different sections of the code.

In addition to the main 100 page books, we also designed a range of pre-launch teaser items including postcard sets and HTML emails for all employees.

Our involvement included not only concept generation, design and artworking but also the management of foreign language typesetting across all 16 languages for the 100 page books and teaser items.

We also saw the project from production through to pre-press print management and on-press for all items.
