I'm glad to report that all of the SMD team survived last night's Christmas studio do in one piece after an evening of food, ale and acrobatics on ice.
Our festive celebrations were kicked off with an hour of skating at Somerset House – at the time of booking it sounded a great idea but then the reality of wiping-out half the studio with broken wrists and missing digits became ever closer but I'm happy to say that all limbs are in the correct place and other than the odd bruise, all is good and well in SE1.
After our Torvill and Dean antics, we headed off for vast amounts of margaritas and food until the early hours but the studio is looking in remarkably good shape this morning...possibly something to do with eating our own body weight in food!
PS - apologies for the dodgy photo but a few glasses of cava, an apple iphone and a photographer on ice aren't the best ingredients for an award winning shot!

One of our regular photographers
John Wildgoose has turned the tables and blogged some of our photography on his entertaining
blog! The image is from a set Ricky took at the recent Track World Cup in Manchester. If you want to see more from this set you can visit his
